Enchantment Resort has been a tennis destination since its conception as a John Gardiner's Tennis Ranch in the late 1980s. As a haven for tennis enthusiasts, this Arizona tennis resort offers private lessons, activities, tennis programs, tournaments and workshops. The talented staff, many of whom are United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) certified, offer instruction from beginning to advanced levels.

Guests enjoy playing on the six outdoor courts with plexi-pave hard court surfaces. Players have one of the world's most dramatic red rock settings to serve as their backdrop for casual games, tennis lessons, clinics, or during one of the resort's seasonal tournaments. The full-service tennis pro shop offers rentals, instruction, equipment, and tennis attire including the latest from Fila and K-Swiss. Ask the concierge about private lessons and playing with the pros.

Meet The Pros

Eric Meyers
Eric became a skilled tennis player at a young age, and played for two different colleges in California. Then he moved back to Arizona and taught private lessons, including wheelchair lessons, before furthering his training with a two-year Tennis Technical Program in Tyler, TX that involved seminars, labs, methods of teaching and hands-on instruction. After graduation, Eric prepared and took all the tests to become a Professional 1 USPTA Certified Instructor. Since receiving his certification, he has taught players of all levels and was previously the Director of Tennis at Shangri-La Resort and Country Club in Afton, OK.

John Meyers
John played collegiate tennis at Western New Mexico University from 1974-1976. He became a USRSA (United States Racquet Stringers Association) certified racquet technician in 1994 and received his USPTA teaching credentials in 2005. He began teaching tennis at Enchantment Resort during the summer of 2000. John now splits his time at Enchantment between serving as a tennis teaching pro and a hiking guide, leading resort guests through the beautiful red rocks of Sedona.
