Enchantment Resort has been a tennis destination since its conception as a John Gardiner's Tennis Ranch in the late 1980s.

Full service facilities

As a haven for tennis enthusiasts, this Arizona tennis resort offers private lessons, activities, tennis programs, tournaments and workshops. The talented staff, all of whom are U.S. Professional Tennis Association-certified, offers instruction from beginner to advanced levels.

Guests enjoy playing on a total of seven outdoor courts, including two center courts. Players have one of the world's most dramatic landscapes to serve as the backdrop for casual games, tennis lessons, clinics and seasonal tournaments. A full-service tennis pro shop offers rentals, instruction, equipment and tennis attire including the latest from Fila and K-Swiss.

Meet the pros:

Claudette Laliberte

Originally from Manchester, New Hampshire, Claudette played collegiate tennis at Florida State University before moving to Central Florida to become the Director of Tennis at Walt Disney World in Lake Buena Vista. Throughout the mid '80s and '90s, she taught and directed tennis programs throughout Central Florida and the Tampa area. She was also the Assistant Women's Tennis Coach at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida for three seasons prior to moving to Sedona. The team was consistently ranked in the top ten nationally. As a player, Claudette has held national rankings in women's doubles and singles, as well as many Florida state rankings in singles and women's doubles. She has been a team member of many intersectionals as well as USTA National League teams. She is a USPTA P-1 certified Elite Professional and was voted USTA Northern Arizona Teaching Pro of the Year in 2014.

Brian Young

Brian has been teaching for nearly 30 years as a coach, sports psychologist and educator. In addition to P-1 Elite Professional certification from the USPTA, he has also been a licensed family therapist for decades. In the past, Brian has served as Tennis Pro at Balboa Bay Club in Newport Beach, California, Club Solimar in Sonora, Mexico, and the City of Santa Barbara in California.

John Meyers

John played collegiate tennis at Western New Mexico University from 1974-1976. He became a USRSA-certified racquet technician in 1994 and received his USPTA teaching credentials in 2005. During the summer of 2000, John began teaching tennis at Enchantment Resort. He now splits his time at Enchantment between tennis and hiking, serving as a Tennis Pro and leading resort guests through the beautiful red rocks of Sedona.
