Enchantment Resort has been a tennis destination since its conception as a John Gardiner's Tennis Ranch in the late 1980s.

Full service facilities

As a haven for tennis enthusiasts, this Arizona tennis resort offers private lessons, activities, tennis programs, tournaments and workshops. The talented staff offers instruction from beginner to advanced levels.

Guests enjoy playing on a total of seven outdoor courts, including two center courts. Players have one of the world's most dramatic landscapes to serve as the backdrop for casual games, tennis lessons, clinics and tournaments. A full-service tennis pro shop offers rentals, instruction, equipment and tennis attire including the latest from Fila and K-Swiss.

Meet the pros:

Nelson Banes

Nelsonis a former NCAA All-American and ATP professional.  He has coached onboth the ATP and WTA tours.  Mr. Banes is also the award-winningproducer and director of the documentary “Inside Tennis” made for theTennis Channel. He  personally selected the experienced, friendly, andenthusiastic tennis professionals at Enchantment.

Brian Young

Brianhas been teaching for nearly 30 years as a coach, sports psychologistand educator. In addition to P-1 Elite Professional certification fromthe USPTA, he has also been a licensed family therapist for decades. Inthe past, Brian has served as Tennis Pro at Balboa Bay Club in NewportBeach, California, Club Solimar in Sonora, Mexico, and the City of SantaBarbara in California.

Cliff Gerwick

Cliffstarted playing tennis in northern California when he was young.  Hewas on the Men’s Tennis Team at Alaska Pacific University where he alsotaught tennis to adults and children. His career kept him too busy toformally compete, but he continued to play and is now competing intournaments on a regular basis.  He finally obtained his USPTA statuswhile teaching here at the resort.

Demian DaCosta

Demian started playing tennis at the age of 8 in his native Brazil. He held national and state ranking in Brazil from 1990-1996. He has been teaching tennis in the US for over 10 years, and is certified through the Professional Tennis Registry and is a certified coach for Modern Tennis Methodology.

John Meyers

Johnplayed collegiate tennis while studying at Western New MexicoUniversity. He became a USRSA-certified racquet technician in 1994 andreceived his USPTA teaching credentials in 2005. He has been atEchantment since 2000, and splits his time between tennis andhiking, serving as a Tennis Pro and a Hiking Guide.

Claudette Laliberte

Claudette played collegiate tennis atFSU. She served as the Director ofTennis at Walt Disney World. She taught tennis throughout Central Florida for several years.  Claudette has held national and state(Florida) rankings in women's doubles and singles. She is a USPTA P-1certified Elite Professional and was voted USTA Northern ArizonaTeaching Pro of the Year in 2014.

Chris Anderson

Chrisstarted teaching at Grand Rapids Racquet Club and Cascade Country Clubin Michigan. He taught for Peter Burwash International and the Rick Macci Tennis Academy. Hetaught tennis in Iowa for several years before moving to Sedona tocontinue his career at Enchantment Resort.
