Bring your family to Camp Coyote and pause outside the door on what you are thankful for this year. Guests of all ages are invited to add a handwritten note on a leaf to our resort Thanksful Tree. The Thankful Tree will be available Wednesday, November 27 through Saturday, November 30.
Clay Pinch Pot Making
Learn about the rich history of Native American pinch pots as you create a clay pinch pot to take home. This fun activity is available to guests of all ages, we just ask that children under 12 be accompanies by an adult. Event takes place in the Western Room on Wednesday, November 27 from 11am – 12 noon. $5 per person
Holiday Cupcake Decorating Extravaganza
Start feasting a day early during our cupcake decorating extravaganza. Join our resort Activities team and decorate a cupcake with the many different toppings that we offer. This family-friendly event is on Wednesday, November 27 from 1-2pm in the Western Room.
Native American Flute Experience
Immerse yourself in the incredible sounds of Navajo or Northern Ute/ Dine flute songs. Our resident artist, an award-winning flutist entertains while teaching you the history of this timeless instrument. Join us at View 180 at 5pm each evening, Wednesday, November 27 through Saturday, November 30.
Thanksgiving Morning Hike
Begin your Thanksgiving morning with a hike just outside of Boynton Canyon. Join one of our knowledgeable hiking guides for this special hike which focuses on the beauty of Mother Nature. Guests will meet at the Activities Center on Thursday, November 28 for the 9am hike. Hike is 2.5 hours and $75 per person (ages 12+).
You are invited to craft your own southwestern bracelet and earrings to take home. This great guest experience is offered on Thursday, November 28 from 11am – 12noon. $40 per person.
Signature Thanksgiving Buffet
Enjoy a traditional holiday buffet on Thursday, November 28 to give thanks and celebrate Thanksgiving with family and friends. Our expansive Thanksgiving buffet features a raw bar, imported cheeses and charcuterie display, carving station, traditional Thanksgiving entrées and sides, a variety of dessert stations prepared exclusively by our pastry chef, kids buffet and more. Advance reservations are required, please call (928) 282-2900 to make a reservation. Seating will be every half hour from 2pm – 6:30pm in the Anasazi Ballroom. Adults $78 per person, Children are $39 per person.
Native American Crafts for Kids
Join the Camp Coyote counselors to create festive Thanksgiving crafts to take home. Our youngest guests in residence are invited to attend this wonderful event, located in the Juniper House from 2pm – 5:30pm on Thursday, November 28.
S’mores & Storytelling
Gather around the fire for a family fun activity under the starry Sedona night sky. Guests are invited to join us for a night of s’mores and storytelling at the Village Terrace Fireplace from 6pm – 7pm on Thursday, November 28.
Native American Dance Performance
The Polequaptewa Family from the Hopi Mesas in Northern Arizona invites you to celebrate Native American Heritage Day through music, song and dance. This fun event takes place on Friday, November 29 from 10am – 10:30am on the Croquet Lawn, located next to the pool area.
Explore Southwestern decorative techniques and create a unique Sedona memento to take home. Children ages 7 and up are invited to join us in the Western Room, located by the main pool from 11am – 1pm on Friday, November 29. Fee is $30 per person.
Arizona Raptor Experience
Paul and Anne Schnell of the Arizona Raptor Experience will be displaying live predatory birds on the Croquet Lawn for all guests to enjoy. Join us on Friday, Novemer 29 from 10am – 12pm. They will educate you about the bird’s background, natural history and conservation. Bring your camera for great photo ops while the birds perform flying demonstrations.
Native Teachings Hike
Learn more about Native American traditions as your Mescalero Apache hiking guide shares his people’s traditions and cultures on this 2.5 hour hike through scenic Sedona trails. The Native Teachings Hike takes place from 3pm – 5:30pm on Friday, November 29. Fee is $115 per person.
Friday Night Flick
Kick off the holiday season with our Camp Coyote counselors and a showing of the festive classic, “Christmas Vacation” at Camp Coyote. Popcorn and beverages will be served. Children not registered in Camp Coyote must be accompanied by an adult. Movie night takes place on Friday, Novemer 29 from 7pm – 9pm.
Tree Lighting Ceremony with the Dickens Carolers
The season is in full swing on Saturday, November 30 as we light our Christmas tree. Join us for the annual tree lighting ceremony from 6pm – 8pm. Sing traditional carols with the Dickens Carolers while enjoying a delicious cup of hot chocolate or cider and homemade holiday cookies. Event takes place in the Activities Center Plaza.
