Two Enchantment Resort Employees Honored as Stars of the Industry

Camilo Casiano Wins Outstanding Employee of the Year

John Hamblen Wins Maintenance Employee of the Year

SEDONA, Ariz (December 15, 2014) – Enchantment Resort is proud to announce that two employees were honored with Stars of the Industry awards from the Arizona Hotel & Lodging Association (AzHLA).  Camilo Casiano, a 23-year employee, received the Outstanding Employee of the Year award for small hotels.  John Hamblen, an 8-year employee, received the Maintenance Employee of the Year award.

AzHLA, the leading policy advocate for the Arizona lodging industry, represents more than 38,000 guestrooms statewide and almost 500 members.  For more than 40 years, they have recognized lodging employees who best symbolize the quality service of the industry with the annual Stars of the Industry awards.

“Camilo has displayed incredible commitment and loyalty throughout his entire 23 years of employment with the property,” says Bruce Grosbety, managing director of Enchantment Resort.  “Despite not owning a car, and with no public transportation to the resort, he has never been late for work.  His job as a steward is not glamorous, yet he excels with consistency and a tremendous work ethic. He is held in high regard by his co-workers; when he announced he was retiring earlier this year, the culinary team was so devastated he decided to stay on in a part-time capacity!  Internally, Camilo was recognized with the Employee of the Third Quarter award in 2012.”

Hamblen works the graveyard shift at the resort and is one of the few employees on property at that time.  “John often has to trouble shoot with no assistance or support, which can be daunting, yet he is able to maintain a calm and confident attitude, giving guests peace of mind while he deals with the situation at hand,” says Grosbety.   “He has a natural ability to make anyone feel instantly at ease and is a professional in dealing with guests.  His tremendous commitment and stellar work have been consistent throughout his employment.  Internally, John has been recognized with the Employee of the Month award in May 2007.

Enchantment recognizes the value of its employees who together create memorable experiences for  guests by exceeding expectations.  Respected by their peers and greatly appreciated by the management team, we take our hats off to Camilo Casiano and John Hamblen for their extraordinary service.  They are shining stars of the industry!
